Every aircraft designed by Aero-East-Europe is characterized by luxurious and fully sized proportions as well as their extraordinary flying stability. SILA aeroplanes have also important features of wide range and endurance.
Flying means of course to cruise far away; SILA 450C and SILA 750C are, above all, aircrafts for cruising and represent the realization of the designer’s idea of creating a comfortable long-range aircraft maintaining a speed of 105 KTS (190 Km/h with 75% of power) with a flight trim very stable even in the presence of turbulence; its range is over 1000 Km with the standard fuel tanks with the possibility of adding 2 more additional tanks in order to extend range and endurance.
The comfort, resulting from the great size of the craft, is evident in consideration of the wide cockpit (L 116-122 x h 113) and especially due to the complete absence of vibrations as well as a consequent stable and precise flight.
It is also possible, on request, to install and implement the standard equipment with any kind of avionic device and navigation instruments.
Regarding the long range cruising flights it is possible to load and stow luggage up to 50-75 Kgs in the designated space.
SILA 450C, SILA 750C and SILA 950C are cruisers with excellent STOL skills, which is the result of the peculiar drawing with the technical solution of “separated-coordinated” flap and ailerons system expressly designed to allow a stall speed Vso of 35 KTS (65 Km/h) following a takeoff run of 50 m and a landing run of only 80 m.
SILA Aircraft’s most enticing and alluring airplane with STOL skills is SILA 750S, which is designed with Junkers type blown flaperons solution in combination with Handley-Page slat inserted in an asymmetric biconvex type wing profile provided with edges winglets. The aircraft is created in order to maintain very good stability characteristics around roll axis (Y) and high cruising speed of 97 KTS (180Kh at the 75% of the power) despite a takeoff run of 40 m and a landing run of 60 m with an assisted touch down speed of only of 24 KTS (45 Km/h). Good cruising speed has been achieved through the optimization of a proper studied position of H-P in order to reach the best possible compromise of the aerodynamical action with regard to high angles of attack. Everything in the drawing has been studied in order to obtain very peculiar flight trims. All this is achieved through the twist angle of the wing producing, as a consequence, the characteristic levelled flight with a stable and slightly pitched nose position: there is an important increase of frontal visibility.
SILA 450 is the “Entry Level” STOL which is in fact equipped with the 80 HP Rotax engine at the price of a car. This airplane has been carried out with a basic and essential preparation and we really did our best to promote a product with very smart and new characteristics, in line with Aero-East-Europe aim and tradition (strictly aeronautic).
SILA 450C is the cheapest cruiser plane actualised and prepared as an “Entry Level” Ultra-Light in order to offer a lower price. It is a basic airplane with great performances and comfort. Equipped with Rotax 80HP engine SILA 450C is the best way to enjoy a flight without restrictions in terms of safety and potentiality. You will be satisfied in terms of range and performances while flying with this aircraft.
SILA Airplanes are built using certified metal alloys and completely metallic airframes. The planes are made of aluminium alloys; the front firewall frame, as well as the tubular structure, is made of steel Cr Mo in order to give the best possible protection to the cockpit. Cutting and drilling metal sheets is carried out through NC machines to improve the production capacity concerning the working processes. At the same time it has been decided that some of the steps of the industrial process are going to be done manually. Everything is done in order to preserve the important experience in the achievement of structural stability and mechanical resistance properties.
The care and the precise technique is carried out by professional handicraftsmen. The way of producing is evident in details and refined preparations, showing the strict standards of quality applied. The airplanes have been designed in accordance with rigid and severe procedures requested for the homologation in the JAR-VLA class.
Proof loads and metal construction show you clearly just what Aero-East-Europe means in regard to mechanical resistance properties.
SILA Aircrafts can bring you far, far, far away…
SILA VERSION C AND VERSION S
SILA series C version are “Cruisers” with excellent STOL skills as a result of the peculiar drawing with the technical solution of the “separated-coordinated” flap and ailerons, system expressly studied to allow low stall speeds leading to a short take off run and short landing run. The C wing profile solution is one in which the traditional wing configuration gives the typical flight characteristics of speed and stability suitable for the long range fliers. However, in landing configuration flaps and ailerons remain separated in their movement. There is also a change in the ailerons position when the flaps are extracted: ailerons are lowered even with a different rate in comparison with flaps. This “coordination” between flaps and aileron in landing configuration allows the STOL skills of the plane when necessary.
SILA series S version with STOL wing configuration is designed with Junkers type blown flaperons solution in combination with Handley-Page slat inserted in an asymmetric biconvex type wing profile. This aircraft version is created in order to maintain very good stability characteristics around roll axis (Y) and high cruising speed of 97 KTS (180Kh at the 75% of the power) despite a very short take off run and landing run with an engine assisted Vso of only 24 KTS (45 Km/h). Good cruising speed has been achieved through the optimization of a proper studied position of H-P in order to reach the best possible compromise of the aero dynamical action with regard to high angles of attack. Everything in the drawing has been studied in order to obtain very peculiar flight trims. All this is achieved through the twist angle of the wing producing, as a consequence, the characteristic levelled flight with a stable and slightly pitched nose position: there is an important increase of frontal visibility.
